I recently stayed at a certain charming bed and breakfast in the French countryside and had a mixed experience. The location was picturesque and the building had a rustic charm that was quite inviting. However, I found the service to be average at best. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked warmth, which was disappointing. The website had promised a variety of amenities, but some were not available during my stay. The room was comfortable enough but lacked that extra touch to make it truly memorable. On the positive side, the food at the onsite restaurant was delicious. Overall, my stay was okay, but I expected more given the reputation of this place. It's a shame because with some improvements in customer service, this establishment would truly shine.
