Atrility Medical was founded by a physician, a business professor, and five biomedical engineering students at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Von Bergen recognized the need to improve the speed and accuracy of electrocardiogram (ECG) technology used to treat arrhythmias, spurring the biomedical engineering team to develop a functional prototype of Atrility Medical’s first device. A patent has been filed by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation(WARF), and the LLC was officially formed in February of 2017.
